Yes, I have to admit Roger is really growing on me... xAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13881524420208786909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7207551183267729724.post-43625448346907834802015-11-26T01:25:56.367-08:002015-11-26T01:25:56.367-08:00I agree Dawn, that's what we did with Barry as...I agree Dawn, that's what we did with Barry as we had a few names we liked and as soon as we saw him, saw his personality etc. we knew Barry would suit him :-) Sid is a great name! That's my step-granddad's name though so I'm not sure it'll be suitable! Smokey is a really lovely name, what breed do you think you'd go for? xAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13881524420208786909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7207551183267729724.post-12375891521262257332015-11-26T01:23:35.620-08:002015-11-26T01:23:35.620-08:00Hi Jo, Spike sounded like a lovely dog and I love ...Hi Jo, Spike sounded like a lovely dog and I love the name Tisbee too, very unique! Haha, I very much agree with your logic when it comes to names - he named my dog so it's only fair I name his! Thanks for thinking of me with the dog friendly holidays. Places in Cornwall would be good too, we've visited Padstow, Port Issac and Constantine Bay in Cornwall and loved them all! Rocky will have lots of fun on holiday with you I'm sure :-) Your pulled pork in the slow cooker sounds amazing, I bet that was tasty! I had a good old cheese and beans baked potato last night with a lovely crispy skin, very tasty but doesn't trump your pulled pork! I'll keep you updated on the naming fiasco.. I want to wait until we meet him as that's what we did with Barry and that's when we knew his name was perfect! xAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13881524420208786909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7207551183267729724.post-64560177155150345352015-11-25T10:45:19.573-08:002015-11-25T10:45:19.573-08:00I have a border collie, he's a rescue dog and ...I have a border collie, he's a rescue dog and his name is Metro. Heavens knows why the rescue centre called him that, it's an odd name given that we live in Cornwall, nowhere near a metro line but it's the name he came with and as he was two years old when I got him I didn't want to change it and confuse the poor thing, I love him to bits. I also have a friend who has a BC called Stanley :-) My other dogs are Levi and Indiana, Indie for short. I actually think Roger is quite a cool doggy name :-)Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09242633962339344241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7207551183267729724.post-74448032339954996792015-11-25T09:21:05.397-08:002015-11-25T09:21:05.397-08:00I think its best to name when you ave chosen your ...I think its best to name when you ave chosen your pup, it might not look like a Roger, it might be more like a Sid, Jim or Mickey what ever you choose I am sure it will be well loved and a great play mate for Barry, We keep talking about another dog and I like the name Smokey I used to have a dog called Smokey 30 years ago and it he was so loyal and loving :-) Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05213759909336433460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7207551183267729724.post-650420086175099262015-11-25T09:20:30.456-08:002015-11-25T09:20:30.456-08:00My first dog was a Border Collie which my parents ...My first dog was a Border Collie which my parents bought as a puppy he was a truly delightful creature named Spike. My eldest son has great memories of Spike eating his crayons! Now my youngest son Harry used to be absolutely terrified of dogs until our next door neighbour tied his Border Collie Tisbee to the garden gate & gradually over a few months Harry & Tisbee became the greatest of friends & went everywhere together for a number of years. I'm thrilled for the pair of you & just to cause trouble if Jack got to name your favourite breed then you should name his so I'm going to go for Rupert :) I have a list somewhere of dog friendly holidays I shall root it out for you, I think it's more for Cornwall as we are planning a trip there next year & Rocky is coming with us. No photos my dear but I have pulled pork simmering in the slow cooker so I hope you get something yummy for dinner too. Take care xx p.s I agree with proper names for dogs, if Rocky wasn't too old I would re name him, he does answer to Sam but as he is getting on a bit he probably thinks I'm saying ham!Jo@awholeplotoflovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03525039817338877634noreply@blogger.com
